CRFT Lookup parses existing sitemap.xml files to create an interactive visualization of website structure. When you input a URL, we locate and read the site's sitemap.xml file to understand page hierarchy and relationships. Important note: we do not crawl websites or generate new sitemaps - we only visualize existing sitemap files.
No, the sitemap visualization is a direct representation of the website's sitemap.xml file and cannot be edited within CRFT Lookup. To change how the sitemap appears, you would need to modify the actual sitemap.xml file on the website itself.
The visualization displays the hierarchical structure defined in the sitemap.xml file, showing parent/child relationships between pages. Each node represents a URL from the sitemap, organized in a tree format that illustrates how pages are connected and nested within the site architecture.
CRFT Lookup requires an existing sitemap.xml file to generate visualizations. If a website doesn't have a sitemap.xml file, we cannot create a visualization. We do not crawl sites or generate sitemaps - we only work with pre-existing sitemap files.
Visualizations are generated in real-time based on the current sitemap.xml file when you scan a URL. If the website's sitemap.xml file changes, you can run a new scan to see an updated visualization reflecting those changes.
